Another baking challenge! Maybe I should change professions! This was for a chairty bake sale. Vanilla cupcakes and a cinnamon swirl, think I need to work on my cinnamon swirl aesthetics....

Baking is Back!

This is the last time I do a 'favour' blind! I had no idea what was going to happen when I embarked on a Dragon as a child's 3rd Birthday cake.....
Thankfully it turned out pretty good!! :)

More Wedding stationery....

No sooner had I finished creating someone elses wedding stationery, I was starting my own!
We are having a lovely countryside wedding so I started with a rustic feel on the Save the Dates, All hand mounted and cut! Painful!

Next for the main invitations I designed a triple fold A6 sized invitation with 3 inserts containing the important information.
Hours of work and hours of cutting but I and so pleased with these. Labour of Love :)

Wedding Bells

Back in October some good friends of mine asked if I would mind helping with their wedding stationery.

Challenge Well and truly accepted. I had so much fun doing all of it and using my graphics tablet to hand-draw all the bunting.

It was lovely on the day to see it all tie together on the order of service, place names, seating plan and signage. Here's a snippet of the mockups, hopefully I can add more soon!

A good deed.

Through work I got the opportunity to volunteer in a local charity shop in Maidstone back in November. Not your normal type of volunteering though, it was such a great experience! Heres the pictures start to finish. So pleased with the final result and I can still walk past and see it in all its glory.

So aside from designing I have also begun dabbling in various bakes.
My first over Christmas was the famous gingerbread house. I fudged this one a bit because I didn't exactly follow the instructions but a bit of icing and who's going to know. I can also say that it tasted amazing upon demolition!

I Can't believeeeeee it.

So I can't quite believe it but I have been absent from this creative world for approximately one whole year. Believe me it feels longer!

I have been working ridiculously hard and have a new portfolio to show as the fruits of my labour... and watch this space as lucynaomitaylor.me.uk is currently undergoing re-design.. very very exciting.
